Greetings from Brookside Gardens

Saturday was a spectacular spring day in the DC area. I had an EX raid at lunchtime and went to try (unsuccessfully) to catch a shiny Darkrai, then we went to Brookside Gardens, where the daffodils and apricot blossoms are coming into full bloom, the hyacinths and redbuds are starting, the conservatory is full of snapdragons, and the turtles are out! We stopped at Roots Market afterward and the Olney Antique Village next door, just because I'd never been and wanted to see it.

After dinner, we watched The Edge of Love, which is a biopic of Dylan Thomas starring Matthew Rhys, so I expected it to be at least a tiny bit about Thomas and make him a tiny bit sympathetic, but instead makes him out to be an egotistical, womanizing asshole and we hardly hear the poetry for which he's famous; I liked Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller's performances, though it's a strange film. Now we're watching Daniel Craig on Saturday Night Live poking fun at the coronavirus.
