Greetings from Richmond

I'm watching SNL after a lovely day in Richmond at parks and gardens! Paul and I met Cheryl at Deep Run Park, where we walked around the lake, saw ducks and turtles, and ate lunch at one of the picnic tables, then drove to Three Lakes Park, where the nature center is closed but there were many turtles, cormorants, and a family of otters on an island in one of the lakes. After that, we met Lin at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, which is having the last weekend of a great exhibit called Wind, Waves and Light by George Sherwood, a set of huge metal sculptures that move with the wind and reflect colors. Sadly we couldn't go out to dinner, but I am excited we got to see so many parks with turtles and maples just turning red! And I caught lots of shiny Charmanders for Pokemon community day. We just finished a couple of episodes of Schitt's Creek, including "Meet the Parents" which was as moving and beautiful as everyone said it was. A few photos:
