Greetings from Marymoor

Quickie, we're watching The Spy, which I was told by people was a must-see if I liked Sacha Baron Cohen in Disclaimer (and I know a little about his character's background, and it's awesome to watch something that understands nuance and messy historical reality concerning Zionism). Earlier we caught up on the season premiere of Ghosts after many hours of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions -- a friend of younger son's was there and is staying with him for the next couple of days. Cher! Dionne Warwick! Mary J. Blige!

Otherwise, we had a quiet morning doing chores while watching Indiana blow out Nebraska, then we saw the start of what would ultimately be Michigan's loss to Illinois. Maryland was losing, so it was a pleasant surprise to learn later that they beat USC on a blocked field goal and subsequent touchdown; the Guardians had no such luck against the Yankees later, though we didn't see the game. We did go to Redmond Town Center and also to Marymoor to walk along the river path and through the dog park, where we saw heron nests and apples:

There you are…still around and faithfully blogging. Hope you are well!
My spouse said I should look you up because you’ve been on mind a lot lately as I took her into the past to see (don’t cringe) where Seven came from after she watch ST: Picard with me. I was waxing poetic about your reviews and email exchanges we had at the time when that previous show was on and have had her read some of them when certain particular shows were watched. It’s been fun. I’m sure you’ve figured out who this is…heh heh

How awesome to hear from you! I am doing a Voyager rewatch with some of the friends with whom I watched the show when it first aired and we're deep in season seven, struggling with the death throes again (you should come when we watch Endgame, we're planning on not muting ourselves so we can all yell at the screen during the unwatchable parts). Seven was one of my favorite things about Picard -- I haaaated the first season and didn't watch the second, but the third was like a fun convention reunion in which the actors read fan fiction aloud. Are you still in CA? I'm in Seattle now!
