When we came home, we ate pita and dips for dinner and saw the second half of the Detroit-Houston game, which I didn't care about that much but was a competitive game (the Eagles had already beaten Dallas, but unfortunately the Commanders lost to Pittsburgh). Afterward we watched Another Earth, which I've been meaning to see for years; it's a moody, atmospheric and well-acted New England drama, like a much better Manchester By the Sea with a nominally sci-fi twist that's more metaphorical than literal. Now the last Futurama.

Greetings from Green Lake
Sunday was a lovely, cool, overcast day. We had plans to meet Daniel and Cahaya at a museum, but we got a late start and they got an even later start, so we wound up postponing that and meeting to walk around Green Lake with the dogs. It was a Pokemon Community Day, so I also caught a bunch of shiny Mankeys. We stopped at Chocolati for awesome drinks and Daniel fed us some of the cranberry curd tart he made last night after the walk while we watched an old movie about one of the earliest British Mount Everest expeditions.
