Michael Piller died. The co-creator of DS9 and Voyager. My favorite Trek writer of this generation by a long stretch. (And The Dead Zone and most recently Wildfire.)
I'm sitting here crying over someone I didn't know. I don't think I was this upset when Roddenberry died. Felt more removed somehow, and Piller was young -- 57. Cancer. I didn't even know he was ill.
And I need to go troll for quotes and do news shit.
ETA: For TrekToday. Best I could do on a deadline. I interviewed Michael for TrekToday in 2002; it's here if anyone's interested.
