We had a nice full day at the beach: morning in the surf in Fenwick Island; sandwiches in our hotel; a trip to the Burton Island Trailhead (minus son's girlfriend who wasn't feeling great) where we saw horseshoe and fiddler crabs, egrets and herons, cormorants and ducks, and a diamondback terrapin we rescued from the road; a stop at the Seaside Country Store for crab nuts and fudge; dinner picked up at Nicola's in Rehoboth Beach and eaten at one of the tables near the outdoor game store chess boards, followed by a drive back at sunset; a walk on the beach after dark to see ghost crabs; and some games back at the hotel along with the fudge from earlier. Getting up early to go to Assateague, so have some photos!
