Extreme quickie on the night of my birthday after a late-night chat with my kids, one of whom was trying to keep his kitten out of a Christmas tree and the other of whom was at a friend's playing Pokemon. I had a very nice day: Paul made me eggs benedict for breakfast, then we spent the day in Ellicott City, which had a holiday festival, lots of festive stores, the B&O Museum holiday train displays, and several open exhibits including the historic firehouse and the actual county fire station which also had a big train display.
We then drove to Merriweather Post Pavilion, which has a Symphony of Lights drive-through display that goes right through the middle of the pavilion and around the parking lots, including several music-themed light displays. Our plan afterward was to have dinner from Sheba, but the restaurant was closed, so we ended up picking up Cava with a plan to have Ethiopian food tomorrow. Then we watched The People We Hate at the Wedding, which has a great cast, some cringe humor and some absolute hilarity. Will post pics of my day tomorrow!
