Greetings from Quinault
I had a great Sunday except for the part where I slipped and fell in the Pacific Ocean as the tide was returning to cover the tidepools, depriving me of my phone for several hours, and all my remaining clean/dry clothing, depriving me of my dinner plans! Before that, we stopped at the Forks Chamber of Commerce and nearby exhibits on the way out of town; went to Ruby Beach, site of the aforementioned tidepools and spectacular sea stacks; walked at Kalaloch Beach, misty with soft sand and big offshore rocks; ate sandwiches and hiked at the Quinault Rainforest Trail, where we saw banana slugs, and the World's Biggest Sitka Spruce Trail; drove to Aberdeen, where we visited Kurt Cobain's childhood home and a couple of local parks in pursuit of Goomy for Pokemon Community Day; and stopped to grab Burger King Impossible Burgers on the way home, where our cats and neighbors greeted us before I started many laundries while watching the weekend-thematic Interview with the Vampire!
