Another quickie since we're watching the last episode of
The Spy, which has been riveting -- the performances and the storytelling. We had rain in the forecast but it didn't arrive until night, so we had a lovely day after an early lunch. We went to Fairbank Animal and Pumpkin Farm in Edmonds, which has exactly what its name says. For $5, everyone arriving gets a cup of feed for the geese, turkeys, and chickens, plus there are goats to pet, chicks hatching, and sheep, pigs, cows, and other animals, plus pumpkins to pick so now we have one for Halloween.
From there we went to North Creek Park to walk on the wetlands boardwalk, which we had done exactly a year ago. We couldn't see salmon in the river but we did see woolly bear caterpillars and banana slugs. We had seen a bit of the early football (the end of the Jaguars beating the Patriots, the start of the Seahawks beating the Falcons) and when we got home we watched a bit of the Chiefs beating the 49ers before the Dodgers-Mets game started, though I missed the beginning because I was watching
Derry Girls with Cheryl.
