Greetings from Issaquah

We had a quiet morning watching the early college football championship games, then a very full afternoon starting at the Yule PNW Witches' Market at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah, which had lovely decorations and lots of vendors -- I bought a felted acorn hat, a glass cat candle holder, and a big handmade red velvet cookie. Since we were nearby, we stopped at Sephora for my birthday month fragrance freebie, Target to pick up a couple of gifts I had preordered and paid in advance, and Fortunato Chocolate for the obvious.

Then we drove to Kelsey Creek Farm for the annual barn lighting with light-up reindeer sheep and Santa Claus, followed by the kick-off of Redmond Town Center's lights festival, which involves a lot of Christmas music though local Indian, Muslim, and Jewish groups had activity booths with crafts and the main light show is secular. On the way home, we stopped at World Market for free ornament day and food for dinner (butternut squash soup and Italian bread). Now we're watching Fly Me To the Moon, which is enjoyable and clever.
