Paul only had to work half a day on Monday, during which time the handyman came to figure out why one of our second bedroom outlets wasn't working. It is now, and we have an old TV set that Daniel (who's traveling) used to use as a second monitor set up in there in case someone needs to watch baseball while someone else needs to watch a concert. But we discovered that its power cord was missing.
So in the afternoon, we headed to Office Depot and a stop at Bellevue Square, which is the closest mall to where we live. Now we have a new power cord, hence a working TV, and I have a sparkly necklace. But before the shopping, we stopped at Kelsey Creek Park, the one with the salmon stream with a beaver dam and also a farm with goats, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, and bunnies.
We came home to do some chores because Adam, who had to work today while Katherine (who had the day off) was at a wine tasting, came over for veggie ham and cheese pie, ice cream sundae cake, and a walk on the dock to see the eagles, geese, ducks, and one frog who took one look at us and jumped into the water. The Mariners won and now we're watching Brandi Carlile on Max. Happy Fourth!
