Poem for Tuesday and Brightwater Blooming

Days
By Philip Larkin

What are days for?
Days are where we live.
They come, they wake us
Time and time over.
They are to be happy in:
Where can we live but days?

Ah, solving that question
Brings the priest and the doctor
In their long coats
Running over the fields.

Tuesday was a catch-up day for me -- a bunch of computer work, a bunch of laundry, a bunch of other chores (we even got a new vacuum cleaner, though we haven't assembled and tested it yet). Daniel had to work, he has team members visiting from Germany, and Adam and Haley went to the beach at Centennial Park. I only walked to Idylwood Park, but both eagles were in the same tree, and I'm always happy to see that. Half my Voyager group couldn't watch tonight, so those of us who could hung out on Zoom to chat.

Deborah texted me just as my Trek friends were getting off Zoom, so Meri and I stayed on so she could come visit with us! Then Paul and I had dinner and watched the first episode of  All Creatures Great and Small, which lots of people have told me to watch, before the season finale of Quantum Leap, which was a little over the top -- James Frain chomping scenery and everyone else fighting to keep up, hahaha -- but generally satisfying and a decent ending spot if the show doesn't return. Spring at Brightwater last weekend:
