Greetings from Waterways

It rained on and off all day Sunday, but we had plans to visit a bunch of parks in Sammamish, so we put on our raincoats and went to the Hazel Wolf Wetlands after the end of the Detroit game and bagels. We had not been there before and we must go back in the spring, because there are extensive beaver dams and a lodge supporting lots of waterways -- today there were mostly ducks, but we're guessing there must be lots of turtles and other animals in warmer weather. We also went to nearby Beaver Lake, which has several carved totems and a lodge in the public park.

We visited Sammamish Landing on the way back to Redmond, from which we could see our apartment across the lake as well as what's left of the railroad tracks that used to be where there's now hiking and biking trails. Then we stopped at Safeway to get dinner for during the NCAA championship tomorrow. We watched most of the Bills-Dolphins game through dinner tonight, and now we're watching the beginning of the third season of The Morning Show, in which the race issues they left simmering the past two seasons are exploding and am I the only one who wants Cory to go away?
