Greetings from Pike's Market

Quickie after wild day -- just back from dinner at Noi Thai with Shalini, my friend of many years from the East Coast, who's in town for a couple of days before a cruise to Alaska. She's staying near Pike's Market, because of which we picked up her and her traveling companion near the Space Needle, which they'd been visiting, and parked near their hotel, so we got to see the aquarium, the Seattle Wheel, the stadiums, and various waterfront sights on the way to and from the restaurant.

Earlier we found blood in the litterbox, quickly figured out that it was Effie's, and took her to the urgent care vet, who was very quick and friendly but took an x-ray that showed bladder stones. Right now she's on antibiotics and her sister is hissing at her, so things are kind of stressful here -- if the antibiotics don't clear up the stones, she might need surgery, and although she's not acting sick, she's going to the litterbox a lot and grooming herself like she's uncomfortable.
