Greetings from Issaquah

Sunday was the Yule PNW Witches' Market, so after breakfast we went to Issaquah, where the event was being celebrated at the Pickering Barn -- conveniently, since it was drizzling by the time we arrived. There were lots of pagan holiday festivities and goodies, though I mostly bought clothing (there are Renfaire and faerie fest bargains). When we left the market, it was unexpectedly sunny, so we went across the road to Masthi Bar and Grill and shared the veggie samplers, so we got excellent malai kofta, dal, and mirchi with rice, naan and chutney.

We got home in the late afternoon, called Paul's mother for her birthday, and I folded laundry while we watched some of the day's football, though we missed the TV announcement that UW had received the #2 seed in the CFP and that the Terps had been chosen to play Auburn in the Music City Bowl. We weren't hungry for much dinner after the big lunch, so we've spent the post-football evening watching the first season of Slow Horses, in which the detestable Gary Oldman gives quite an extraordinary performance -- hilarious as well as brilliantly cynical.
