Greetings from Carvershire

Spent a lovely Sunday at King Richard's Faire in Carver, though the last hour was pretty rainy as the remnants of Hurricane Isaias arrived. It's about an hour and a half from Worcester, so we had a nice drive looking at leaves before we arrived, walked through the village, saw some juggling, sword fighting, and mud show, and got veggie chili bread boules for lunch.

Then we met Meredith and her sons, went to see Grievance By Proxy and the mid-afternoon joust (won by the woman before the cheating started), met the King and Queen plus a dragon, saw Darth Crusader and the Mandalorian, listened to bagpipes, watched the Puppies of Penzance, tried out musical instruments at Mystic Rhythms, and ducked into jewelry and clothing stores out of the rain.

I wore a Disney pirate dress with my pirate hat because of the forecast and was glad I did, especially in the damp privies before we left. We drove home in quite stormy conditions, ate a light dinner, and now we're watching the Dodgers-Brewers game; the Ravens are playing the Falcons at the same time, but they aren't winning and I'm more concerned about the baseball playoffs.
