Greetings from Evans Creek Preserve

Sunday was yet another gorgeous day, a bit warmer than Saturday without a cloud in the sky. Paul and I spent the morning doing chores and stuff around the apartment -- I'm still looking for things that went missing in the move, because I packed them so well that I can't find them -- then we had lunch and went to Evans Creek Preserve, a park in Redmond with a trail that starts in a meadow, goes through a mossy wood, and ends up crossing wetlands though one of the boardwalks was closed. We found banana slugs, birds, and a bunny:

Unfortunately the minivan's engine service light came on when we were on the way to Trader Joe's and Blazing Bagels, so tomorrow may be spent dealing with that. Right now we're watching Avatar: The Way of Water on Vudu, which is visually stunning but has pacing issues, too many battles and just as many dialogue problems as the first one, without a lot of the sense of magic -- and is James Cameron capable of conceiving of women who are anything other than love interests, mother figures, or tough bitches? He writes animals better.
