Poem for Thursday and Little Ducks

The Duck
By Ogden Nash

Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.

Been watching the Democratic National Convention, which was awesome tonight (Hillary, Liz, Barack, Kamala) and the post-convention commentary on the news and late night live shows, plus texting younger son about the unbreathable air in San Francisco because of the Napa Fire, so I will be brief. I had a reasonably calm day in reasonably calm weather, took a short walk in the morning and a longer walk in the afternoon during which we saw at least four adult deer and three fawns plus a big chipper bunny, we didn't watch the Orioles lose (the Nationals game was postponed). Here are some ducks from the canal, will post the deer when I am organized!
