After I finished writing my post for Friday night, I learned that younger son's girlfriend was in the hospital, where she ultimately had an emergency appendectomy. She is fine, already home, and says she feels much better now, but that was just an insane day stress-wise for all of us, and I slept terribly; the surgery wasn't scheduled till after midnight Eastern time, so it seemed silly to stay up until there was news, but it was also hard not to wait for news.
We had to take a bunch of things from the basement to the dump on Saturday, including an old television that weighed a gazillion pounds, so we had lunch early, dropped off a bunch of garbage and recyclables, then went to Lake Needwood to walk around and appreciate the clear weather since we have storms threatening for Sunday. Then we came home, did chores, I caught Chespin during Pokemon Community Day hours, and we went to Cabin John Park and Giant.
Cheryl and I had been in the mood to rewatch the National Treasure movies because of the TV show, so we did that while chatting long distance throughout, plus Paul and I watched some of the Titans-Jaguars game although the games we really care about are tomorrow. I feel badly that I haven't responded to all the nice comments I got about Cinnamon; I just can't deal with them yet, so I apologize and am grateful if you left me one.
