In the late afternoon we drove to Stoneham to the Stone Zoo, which is having Jack-O'-Lantern Nights, with hundreds of illuminated pumpkins and some huge lit sculptures of animals and movie monsters. The winter holiday miniature train is already running and we got to see a few animals active in the evening -- flamingos, owls -- plus lots of kids playing with light toys. Then we drove to a nearby Cava for dinner before taking Meredith home. Paul had a Zoom call with his brothers, so we missed pretty much the whole day's sports, and now we're catching up on Dark Matter and snuggling the cats we missed all day.

Greetings from Salem and Stoneham
Been out all day again since early in the morning on a gorgeous cool Sunday. We picked up my friend Meredith and drove into Salem, which is having its annual Haunted Happenings Marketplace and it was much bigger and more crowded than I had imagined -- fortunately we could park at her son's apartment and walk over the bridge! There are dozens of vendors and food trucks in multiple locations around the city, plus all the usual witch and pirate-themed shops, so we did a lot of shopping, walking along the beautiful waterfront, and admiring the wide range of costumes and performances, plus eating great imported New York pizza!
