Greetings from Great Falls

Daniel slept late since he's still half on west coast time (Adam is still actually on the west coast for an interview in San Francisco on Monday). So we had a quiet morning here, watched some football, ate brunch, and eventually went to Great Falls to enjoy the gorgeous weather and what's left of the post-snow leaves. The local locks of the C&O Canal had been almost entirely drained for repairs, but the river was extremely high and rough! Here are some photos in which you can see the low water in the canal basin and the sunlight over the river:

We had dinner with my parents and watched some more football, though we missed what may be the turning point in Washington's season as Alex Smith suffered a Theismann-esque injury that will take him out for the year. The Ravens, at least, hung on to win. (No, I am not going to talk about the horrible end to the otherwise amazing Terps game against Ohio State on Saturday.) We came home for the Amazon-hating Doctor Who that Daniel really enjoyed. I know I promised to talk about The Crimes of Grindelwald, but it's late, so I will do that tomorrow!
