Poem for Saturday and Old Fashioned Farm

We gave you a chance
To water the plants.
We didn't mean that way --
Now zip up your pants.

This was a relatively quiet but enjoyable Friday, the centerpiece of which was watching squirrels devouring what's left of our jack-o-lantern and two episodes of Rings of Power with Kristen in the afternoon. She was telling me about spotting the names of people we both know in an academic article she'd been reading, so I went looking for that! Then Paul and I went to my parents' for dinner (Tara Thai). 

When we got home, we watched Disenchanted, which I liked so much better than Enchanted (a movie about a man who wants a woman the emotional age of his six year old daughter). They let Idina Menzel sing! They let Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph attempt to out-diva each other! It had everything I liked about the first movie and very little of what I did not!
