On Sunday, we had breakfast with my friends in Salem, said goodbye to them, and drove to Old Sturbridge Village, where we met my very oldest friend -- whom I've known since we were in first grade together -- and her husband, 2/3 daughters, and one daughter's boyfriend. We had a wonderful afternoon touring the recreation colonial town, at first on a horse-drawn carriage while it was raining, then on foot stopping in the various buildings where pottery, glass, carpentry, blacksmithing, print-making, and other crafts were being practiced.
We ate lunch in the tavern, visited several farm animals, and saw some Thanksgiving foods being prepared. Then we drove a bit to Shrewsbury, where we all had dinner at the excellent Bollywood Grill and talked for several more hours before saying goodbye. Now we're in a hotel near Worcester, where we're watching Sunday Night Football and I have just made plans to see one of my college roommates in New York on our way home, so all in all a great weekend!
