I am back from my time in New England, having spent most of this last day driving but with a stop for lunch in the Westchester mall with my college roommate (the original plan was to see my sister as well, but she was worried she might have been exposed to covid so I'll see her at Thanksgiving). The hotel had a big breakfast including vegan chicken fingers, and I had a bowl with sesame tofu and turmeric hummus at Bang for lunch, so we walked around to the LEGO and comic stores before we drove the rest of the way to Maryland.
Our cats all survived our absence despite claiming that they had not been fed in weeks (in fact it had been mere hours, I could tell since my mother left food for us as well as for them) and now I'm doing piles of laundry and trying to believe that the Commanders beat the Eagles. I actually got a code for the Taylor Swift tour presale tomorrow, so I have to get up and figure out how that works, and finish the rest of the laundry!
