Greetings from In Between

At BWI where we were just taken off the plane after a 2+ hour delay due to mechanical problems that are apparently ongoing. Everything is closed except McDonalds (which is also technically closed but the lovely cleanup crew is there and they gave us a cup with ice) so I am having water and almonds for dinner! 

We had a nice day otherwise, starting with a walk around Washingtonian Lake with Kay, then a stop at Locust Grove Nature Center on the way to my parents' for lunch. They are claiming they may reboard us in an hour and a half, so we'll see what happens; they aren't offering to put anyone up anywhere yet and it will be a fairly empty flight because so many people are switching airlines.
