On Saturday we went to visit Paul's parents in Hanover. It was a warm but nice day for a walk around the courtyard -- sadly, the ducklings have grown up and flown out into the world -- and we shared some cookies and looked at old photos, then Skyped with our kids and my parents. On the way home we stopped for dinner at Blaze Pizza in Westminster with my friend Connie, whom I met because of Kate Mulgrew and Voyager more than 20 years ago and haven't seen in ages, so that was a blast!
We came home, fed our cranky cats, and watched the last two episodes of The Orville's latest season with Cheryl. I have really loved this season and thought the penultimate episode was really excellent -- it really felt like a Star Trek movie. I enjoyed the last episode too, though I am really opposed to Isaac being too humanized, though that one felt more like an earlier season Orville episode. I guess they wanted to end what might be their last season on a happy note!
