Quickie, just back from seeing Guardians of the Galaxy 3 with Daniel -- masked because he has a cold -- covid test negative -- after dinner in the food court at Alderwood Mall (I had excellent pad see ew and red bean boba). My day otherwise just involved more unpacking, though I also got to talk to all three of my good high school friends on Google Meet at lunchtime for them and late morning for me -- we've been getting up very early because the sun comes right in the bedroom window and then the cats want to snuggle.
I enjoyed GOTG3, especially the couples who did not end up together and women getting a bit of character development not directly related to male characters, though there was some upsetting animal stuff and, as with GOTG2, too many warg battles. Structurally it reminded me of Thor: Love and Thunder, a movie the internet loved to hate, so I'm not sure why this one isn't coming in for the same "they already did this stupid thing 100 times" complaints except James Gunn is more popular with fanboys than Taika Waititi.
