Poem for Saturday and Bellevue Botanical Garden

A Thank You Note
By Lang Leav

You have told me
All the things
I need to hear
Before I knew
I needed to hear them
To be unafraid
Of all the things
I used to fear,
Before I knew
I shouldn’t fear them.

--------

We had some chores to do on Saturday, but we did them around a visit to the Bellevue Botanical Garden, which we visited with Daniel when he first moved out here but it had been a long time since we walked over the ravine bridge. We spent the morning putting together bookcases and putting books on them, then ate lunch and went to Idylwood Park for a couple of Regidrago raids before heading to Bellevue and the garden.

After we saw the flowers and water features, we went into town to the complex that has a Target (for kitchen stuff) and the PCC (which has labneh!) before coming back to Redmond, where we went to see the wood ducks and coots by the dock and also got to see flying eagles and herons, plus a playful mammal in the water -- not sure whether it was a muskrat or an otter, it was too fast! Now we're watching Queen Charlotte, finally!
