After a morning of unpacking the living room breakables, I had a very nice Mother's Day with my kids, whom we met at Marymoor Dog Park after lunch. It was 90 degrees, so we got to test our new portable air conditioners, but the park has lots of shade by the river and we got to see the babies in the nesting heron nests while we walked with Pepper and Thandi (Theo was with Cahaya visiting her mother, and Tulip was with Katherine Skyping her family).
We stopped at home so everyone could feed and water their assorted pets, then reconvened at Daniel's house to Skype with both sets of grandparents. After that, we walked to O'ginger Bistro, a Thai restaurant near Green Lake that has excellent curry and boba. We wandered into the nearby PCC Market to pick up dessert, which I was too full to eat but everyone else wanted cake, then took Adam home and caught tonight's Succession (JFC!).
