Greetings from Juanita Bay Park

We had beautiful weather return on Sunday by afternoon, though even the morning was cloudy and cool, which I'll take over extreme heat in June every time. We took a picnic to Juanita Bay Park, which is a glorious place. We went first to the Forbes Creek Wetland on Lake Washington, where there were wood ducklings, many turtles, and both adult and juvenile eagles, and ate our picnic at a table near the woods with a bunny watching us. Then we walked along the trail toward Juanita Beach, where a student group was performing The Comedy of Errors and there were plenty of ducks, geese, and boats.

We stopped in Michael's on our way back around the lake for a couple of crafting things, eventually getting back to the car and going to get bread and a few more things on the way home. Then we went to check the mail and visit the dock, where the ducklings were chirping in the marsh and we saw a baby bunny under one of the trees. After Skyping with both sets of our parents, we watched the Tony Awards (I was chatting long distance with Cheryl and we agreed that it was a good night for LGBT and Jewish representation), and now I'm watching an episode of Warrior Nun, which is quite good.
