Greetings from Marymoor

I had loads of chores to do Monday -- packing files and desk drawers, putting padding in jewelry cases, sorting clothes -- but since we had to stop at Home Depot for yet more boxes and tape, we stopped on the way at Marymoor Park. Not only were dozens of daffodils in bloom, but the great blue herons in the cottonwood trees were pairing off and building nests! Lots of shoots are coming up and bushes are getting buds, too.

We're trying to eat everything we can't pack, so we had frozen fake beef with sesame garlic sauce for dinner along with pizza bites we never got to during the Super Bowl because it was National Pizza Day. Around Olympic skating and snowboarding, we watched A Mighty Wind, which I've been in the mood for since we lost Catherine O'Hara, but The Ballad of Wallis Island really made a necessity -- really felt like a riff on Mitch and Mickey.
