Poem for Tuesday and Fairbank Farm Animals

Ooh!
By Shel Silverstein

I went to the petting zoo-zoo-zoo,
I petted the baby gnu-nu-nu,
I petted the cute cockatoo-too-too,
I petted the kid kangaroo-roo-roo
I petted the owlet too, too-woo,
I petted the skunklet, too--pee-yoo,
Then I did what one should never do-do-do:
I petted the tigerlet too, ooh--ooh!
Won’t somebody please tie my shoe?
Boo--hoo.

My Tuesday involved a lot of screaming at my computer and at Dell technical and customer support, researching Lenovo desktops, and snuggling cats while mourning my Optiplex which is dying before its time. It was overcast but only rainy intermittently, so we got a nice walk in before my Voyager group watch of "Riddles" -- another episode we didn't remember, and it wasn't terrible but it was simultaneously derivative of earlier episodes and forgetful of every meaningful interaction between Neelix and Tuvok in the series.

We watched most of the Phillies game around and through dinner, which was lopsided but exciting anyway. Then we watched some more Suits, which reminds me at different times of Boston Legal and Billions if the first were a little less crazy and the second were a little less venal, with none of the things that usually end up annoying me in lawyer shows and really enjoyable female characters. Here are some of the animals at Fairbank Farm, which we visited for pumpkins but were very happy to get to feed the fowl and pet the goats:
