Poem for Tuesday and Lincoln Park Seals

Seal Lullaby
By Rudyard Kipling

Oh! hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us,
   And black are the waters that sparkled so green.
The moon, o’er the combers, looks downward to find us
   At rest in the hollows that rustle between.
Where billow meets billow, there soft be thy pillow;
   Ah, weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease!
The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee,
   Asleep in the arms of the slow-swinging seas.

Tuesday was cloudy in the morning, then turned into a gorgeous, cool, partly sunny afternoon. I had a bunch of chores in the morning, then over lunch we watched the Rays-Rangers game. It was a perfect afternoon for a walk and we had the beach to ourselves apart from a flock of geese and a few ducks. My Voyager group watched "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" which remains a fun point of the sixth season.

Evening TV included the season finales of Ahsoka (enjoyable and well-paced, but left many questions for next season) and Only Murders in the Building (mostly satisfying, a bit maternity-based, though we got to see lots of the musical!) around the Phillies-Marlins game (my only requirement is that whoever wins it must be able to trounce the Braves). Seals we saw in Puget Sound last weekend at Lincoln Park:
