Greetings from Snohomish

We spent a rainy Saturday in Snohomish with my friend Chris, having lunch at the First & Union Kitchen (they have all-day breakfast!), then walking through the antiques district near the river walk and looking at the light displays and storefronts set up for Winterfest. I got to see the Grinch, meet Darth Vader, hear some carols, and see several Santas as well as visit the Malicious Women Candle Company, which is one of the best ideas anyone ever had. In addition to lots of antiques, we saw many crafts including Chris's sister's holiday pottery.

We came home in the late afternoon to get a bunch of chores done (it was Adam's official moving day, so he had furniture and boxes and a traumatized dog to contend with), then we watched the new Doctor Who episode, which despite the big name guest star I did not warm up to until the end, despite the rewriting of regeneration as we understand it. Then we nervously started the second season of The Gilded Age, which isn't much better than the first season but at least isn't worse than the last one. Team Bertha!
