The wolves are all wild rescues and some of them are shy of humans, but they all came out to be seen while we were there. We walked on the meadow trail to the Grandfather Tree and saw the film in the visitor center/gift shop before we left. On the way back, we stopped in Tacoma's Historic Freighthouse Square so I could go to Celtic Attic to look at Aran sweaters, but they didn't have any in the store! So we got sweet drinks and fudge in the food hall, then went to our various homes. We weren't very hungry for dinner after such a big lunch, so we watched some White Collar after football and before SNL.

Greetings from Wolf Haven
We left the apartment in gorgeous sunny weather on Saturday morning, taking Adam with us, then drove straight into fog as we headed south past Tacoma to meet Daniel and Cahaya at Curry House in Lacey for a quick lunch -- Indian buffet with plenty of vegetarian food, yay! -- on the way to Wolf Haven International, a sanctuary for which Cahaya got us all tickets to visit. We got to see several pairs of endangered grey, red, and Mexican wolves, plus a rescued coyote and many ravens who happen to live on the nearby prairie, and we got to hear them have a group howl, which was amazing!
