We had rain nearly all of Saturday and chilly weather, but we did not let that stop us from going to Snohomish to see Chris and go to the Snohomish Block Party. We wandered through the tents, I bought some little gifts for people, we had brunch at First & Union Kitchen, and we visited some of the craft and antique stores, which is always fun! In the late afternoon we came home to our starving cats, having missed both the Orioles' glorious victory and the Yankees' glorious defeat.
We just watched The Bikeriders, which is very well acted and directed and also depressing and vague about things like why bikers wear the Iron Cross and the fact that despite being in Chicago, there's really not a person of color interacting with any of the gang members. There's also an offscreen gang rape that's basically glossed over since the female character we get to know is spared. Now we're watching Secrets of the Zoo: Down Under and the animals are better behaved.
