Greetings from Glenview

Sunday was colder than Saturday -- not so much in the sun, but we really felt the wind chill in the shade -- so it was a perfect day to walk outside for the last Pokemon event of the year. I had a bunch of chores to do in the morning, then we had lunch and went to Rockville Civic Center, where we walked around Glenview Mansion and its gardens, walked in the woods and through the park, and visited Croydon Creek Nature Center to see the turtles, snakes, and screech owl who live there.

We stopped at Giant on the way home only to find to our horror that they were almost out of all our cats' favorite food, so we had to put in an order for that. Paul made butternut squash macaroni for dinner, which was delicious, then we Skyped his parents and brother who will be coming out to visit them soon. Football did not go well locally -- Washington's game postponed, Baltimore blew it -- so we watched a bunch of Witcher episodes; I'm enjoying this season, especially Yennefer and Ciri.
