Another quickie since we spent the day in Hanover with Paul's parents. They are thinking about moving to a Lutheran retirement community near where they live now, and wanted us to tour it with them as well as discuss some of the paperwork; my father-in-law had a stroke five years ago and has some difficulty communicating, and my mother-in-law has circulation issues that make it hard for her to get around. So we had lunch with them, then went to visit the community, which is only about a decade old and on pretty grounds with lots of light coming in. There were Christmas decorations everywhere and a pastor doing services in one of the lounges, which they liked.
Then there was lots of paperwork and visits with nurses for various tests. We went back to their house for a little while, then drove home as the sunset faded and picked up Cava on the way home for dinner. We caught up on the season finales of Successsion (excellent, has gone from being King Lear to being The Lion in Winter, which is perversely enjoyable and superbly acted) and Doctor Who (I admit I've been distracted and disengaged for most of this season, but am I completely confused or did she just opt to exterminate three entire races? Even the War Doctor can't top that craziness, Chibnall's time writing the show cannot end fast enough). A few pics from my day:
