Quickie, just back from spending the day in Richmond, where we met Cheryl at her house and had lunch with her and Lin, then went to the Maymont Estate and walked through the gardens, wildlife exhibits, and farm. From there we drove to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for the Gardenfest of Lights down Arthur Ashe Boulevard, past the pedestals that before last summer displayed Confederate generals.
It was still light out when we arrived, so we walked through the train display, conservatory, and upper garden, then went to the Japanese Garden in lights, the zoo in lights, and the fairy tale tower in lights. We picked up food from Mexico and ate it at Cheryl's before driving home. And she got me jewelry and Marvel collectibles for my birthday! A few pics:
