We all spent the morning at Assateague National Seashore after waking up relatively early to drive through Ocean City to get there: Cahaya had never seen the wild horses and the beach there is friendly to dogs so Pepper could come. There was actually a horse rolling in the sand as we walked on the beach and another running in the surf, and we saw more from the boardwalk and along the road. We also saw egrets, crabs, killdeer, sandpipers, and other birds and fish. We stopped at the Greene Turtle for lunch on the way back because they had a patio where we sat under a shade with Pepper and had sandwiches.
We went to the beach for a while in the afternoon, saw some sandcrabs and pelicans, then Cahaya went to read by the pool and the rest of us went to Viking Golf, the extremely tasteful Norse-themed mini-golf, go-kart, and water park at the Fenwick Island boardwalk. I actually won for once and got a hole in one on the troll hole! When we finished, Daniel went to get Cahaya and we met them at Warrens Station (again chosen in part for a dog-friendly outdoor patio) across the street from our hotel for dinner and pie. Then we played a couple of hands of Coup, both of which Adam won.
