We had afternoon tickets at Potomac Mills to see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania with Cheryl, so after a morning in which I slept late, then talked to my California niece on the phone for an hour, we drove to Virginia and went to Mason Neck, where we walked along the Elizabeth Hartwell National Wildlife Refuge trail opposite the one we visited last month. There are still fewer tundra swans than last year, but we saw plenty of ducks, an eagle, some vultures, a hawk that may have been an owl, and a beaver lodge.
Then we drove to Potomac Mills for the movie, which I really enjoyed -- in some ways it felt the most comic-bookish of anything in the MCU, but it has one of my favorite casts and family dynamics, and Kang interests me more than Thanos ever did. Afterward we went to Burger King for Impossible Burgers, then Paul and I drove home in time for Mayfair Witches with some of Hulu's Extraordinary around it, like a woman-centered fluffy answer to The Boys so I pretty much love it.
