Greetings from the State Fair

On Saturday we went to the Washington state fairgrounds in Puyallup for the spring fair. We had gorgeous weather and all-day fun: there's an animatronic Expedition: Dinosaur exhibit with archaeology displays, a reptile exhibit with many snakes, Alaskan jumping pig races with basically the same patter as Carolina pig races, baby farm animals, magic show, monster trucks, and most of the usual state fair crafts, farm animals, local market, and fried food and roasted nuts.

So my lunch was macaroni and cheese over tater tots, and it was awesome. We did not ride the rides, but they had those too. I did a couple of Heracross raids while at the fair and we came home in the late afternoon with nice views of the mountain, ate a late dinner, and watched Argylle, which was much better than I was expecting -- same vibe as Kingsman with absolutely comical violence and delightful chemistry among the leads; it didn't feel overlong to me and I laughed a lot.
