Poem for Wednesday and State Fair Cows

The Cow
By Robert Louis Stevenson

The friendly cow all red and white,
I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,
To eat with apple-tart.

She wanders lowing here and there,
And yet she cannot stray,
All in the pleasant open air,
The pleasant light of day;

And blown by all the winds that pass
And wet with all the showers,
She walks among the meadow grass
And eats the meadow flowers.

--------

We had gorgeous weather on Wednesday, though I was indoors a lot, first chatting with my high school friends in the morning, then watching two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with Kristen. Around that, I had a pile of computer work to get done, which I was very happy to get finished! And we took a walk to the park to enjoy the afternoon; there are still lots of crab apples and tulips around, and all the trees are getting green.

We saw most of the Orioles and Mariners games with the sound off while doing other things, both of which ended well and were fun to watch. Our evening TV included The Masked Singer -- Queen night, and the right singer remained at the end -- and the Icons Unearthed episodes about Batman Begins and The Hobbit should-not-have-been-a-trilogy. Here are some cows and calves we met at the spring state fair, including a couple with the same names as our cats:
