Poem for Friday and Sheepshearing Yarns

Full Moon
By Walter de la Mare

One night as Dick lay half asleep,
   Into his drowsy eyes
A great still light begins to creep
   From out the silent skies.
It was lovely moon's, for when
   He raised his dreamy head,
Her surge of silver filled the pane
   And streamed across his bed.
So, for a while, each gazed at each -
Dick and the solemn moon -
Till, climbing slowly on her way,
   She vanished, and was gone.

I did a thing with a local Tarot group on Friday morning, but they're much too serious about divination for me -- I just want to talk to people who like the art and archetypes and writing prompts from the cards. Then I went through my Renfaire clothes because I'm going to a local one tomorrow and need to figure out what I can layer in chilly weather, did some computer work, and got some reading done.

Paul got home early because it was Friday, we took a long walk in gorgeous weather, had pancakes and eggs for dinner, and started the Orioles-Yankees game. But it was going terribly, so we watched the new episodes of For All Mankind (very tense and believable until the OTT US president) and Your Friends and Neighbors (so much terrible behavior). Crafts from the sheepshearing festival at Gore Place:
