Greetings from the Road To Damascus (MD)

Happy Easter! We went on Saturday to visit Paul's parents in Hanover, driving under gorgeous skies through farmland because there was more traffic on 270 than the back roads, so we got to see lots of cows and horses. We spent a bunch of time going through their papers to help with their taxes, ate some Easter and Passover candy, briefly talked to older son while he drove out of the city to go hiking, and watched some baseball. We needed to stop at Kohl's on the way home, so we walked partway around the lake at Washingtonian Center and saw goslings, though it then started to rain so we headed back to the car pretty fast.

The storm was over by the time we picked up dinner at Cava -- yeah, I'm already off matzah, but tonight was the second part of the annual Passover-Easter movie marathon, which included The Prince of Egypt, so that covers the commandment to tell the story of the Exodus, plus Monty Python's Life of Brian, the most important movie about religion ever made ("Brothers! We mustn't fight each other! Surely we should be united against the common enemy!" "The Judean People's Front?!" "No, the ROMANS!"). SNL does not seem to know what to do with Lizzo but she's awesome enough to make great things out of mediocre skits, so it's fine.
