We spent Sunday at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire! It was quite warm but otherwise a perfect day for it -- we wanted to go this weekend so we could see Don Juan and Miguel, whom we've seen every year for more than a decade, and we went to all three of their shows, plus we heard lots of music (Celtic Legacy's pipes and drums could be heard all around the shire, and there were several fiddlers and folk groups around the grounds), saw falconry and royal court performances, drank Tudor tea and creamsicle floats, and did lots of pirate-themed shows and shopping.
Here we are with Don Juan and Miguel and also my day getting recruited as a pirate, meeting a mermaid, on a pirate throne, getting captured, and being pardoned by the Queen. Now we're home watching the end of what had better be the last episode of the first season of Paper Girls rather than the end of the series, because what a place to leave us -- and the girls!
