I had a lot to do on Saturday! When we got up, we ate a quick breakfast, loaded the van with boxes of books and CDs, and went to the library donation site to give them away. Then we went to nearby Brookside Gardens and walked around to see the changing leaves, the turtles and geese, and the chrysanthemum display in the conservatory. We had perfect weather and lots of flowers!
We came home for lunch and the start of Pokemon Go Community Day, though after catching all the local Litwicks, we went to Cabin John Park to enjoy the weather some more and see the parties in the picnic shelters while I looked for shinies. I did not have high hopes at halftime for the Terrapins game, but Indiana wanted to lose a lot more than Maryland did, based on turnovers.
In the evening we went to visit friends (the daughter of one of my parents' oldest friends and her family) to celebrate Sukkot -- I saw friends dating back to childhood and caught up with our friends' family, plus the sukkah is beautiful and the food was delicious (I had hummus, falafel, spanakopita, tyropita, and baklava). And we just finished watching the bummer 18-inning Mariners loss!
