Poem for Friday and Kelsey Creek Farm

The Cow
By Robert Louis Stevenson

The friendly cow all red and white,
I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,
To eat with apple tart.
She wanders lowing here and there,
And yet she cannot stray,
All in the pleasant open air,
The pleasant light of day;
And blown by all the winds that pass
And wet with all the showers,
She walks among the meadow grass
And eats the meadow flowers.

--------

Paul and I originally had dentist appointments scheduled for Thursday that the dentist asked to move to Friday, but Adam is headed to Maine again for a couple of weeks on Saturday, so we had the dentist postpone another few days and took Adam to Kitanda for lunch. We stopped to pick up bagels, then came back here and walked Pepper to Idylwood Park, where we saw the eagles and lots of cormorants, plus Pepper's chihuahua friend Tucker.

Adam left Pepper here to go night skiing, so we had dinner with three pets and watched most of the fourth season of All Creatures Great and Small. Now he has retrieved Pepper so they can fly out extremely early tomorrow morning, our cats are trying to decide whether they forgive us for having had a dog here so much of the day, and we're watching the most recent Christmas special. Some pictures from our last visit to Kelsey Creek Farm Park:
