Saturday had gorgeous weather, so after I caught some Hoppip for Pokemon Community Day and ate lunch, we went to Green Spring Gardens. There were lots of snowdrops, aconite, and witch hazel in bloom, which we expected, but also crocuses and lenten roses, which we did not! There were also geese, ducks, and lots of squirrels, and not very many people despite an art show in the conservatory, which always has orchids and cacti.
We caught up on ice dance in the evening, when we also had a Zoom call with our kids, after which we watched The Lost Daughter, which was...strange, excellent performances but hard to warm up to. I'm still not sure whether the central women (at least much more compelling than the useless men) are supposed to be cautionary tales for feminists who want children or portraits of unacknowledged mental illness, and it all feels pretentious.
