We had snow forecast for Saturday and possibly a bomb cyclone, which usually means that out of an abundance of caution they warned us that it might snow and we end up with a quarter inch. But it snowed hard until the middle of the afternoon, nearly three inches, though not enough stuck to the road to require plowing. The daffodils in our front yard were bending under the weight of the snow, but it clung to the branches until after dark and made everything very scenic! We went to Cabin John Park to see the flowers under snow -- crocuses completely hidden, plum blossoms beautiful.
After a quick drive through the upper part of the park to see more snowy flowering trees, we came home, walked around the neighborhood to see more daffodils peeking out under snow, and had tacos for dinner. Then we watched Lucy and Desi, which I'm really glad we saved till after Being the Ricardos because it's so much better, so much more fair to Ball and Arnaz and their family, so much less condescending to the audience, and the clips are a pleasure. Now we're watching this week's mediocre SNL. Here is how Cabin John Park looked in the late afternoon sun:
